SF Youth Fencing Panel
Applications now open
The youth fencing panel is designed to further engage young people in the sport.
The objectives of the panel are:
To raise the profile of the sport
Support the development of young leaders in the sport
Empower young people by enabling them to influence and shape the future of the sport in Scotland
Make fencing a sport where young people are able to express their views, feelings and wishes and to have their views considered and taken seriously
Anyone who is a member of a fencing club in Scotland aged between 16 and 23 years old can apply to join the panel.
8 young people from the fencing community will be selected to form the 1st Youth fencing Panel, which will last for 2 years.
The commitment to the panel will be up to 2 hours per week (this will vary dependent of the areas/projects/focus of that the young people set for during their time on the panel)
Applications close Wednesday 22nd October 2025 at 12 noon.
Interviews will take place online during October - more information will be shared with applicants after the closing date.
