Start your coaching journey by doing your Level 1 or progressing to Level 2 or 3 coaching awards. Or if your looking for some CPD to support your coaching journey then this weekend is for you. Our excellent tutor team is here to help. The cost to attend a development weekend for undertaking your Level 1, 2 or 3 if £150. We have access to Sportscotland Coaching Subsidy which can support with this cost.
If you are already a qualified coach and on the BF Coaches Register and interested in coming along for some CPD, the cost is £25!
As part of our new Level 1 and Level 2 awards, there are elements on the Brightspace platform that you will need to complete before and after attending for the weekend. We can get you set up on the Brightspace system provided by Sportscotland, so please ensure your email address is correct! If you already have a Brightspace account, your login information will still be the same and we will add you to the correct course. Please aim to sign up by Friday 23rd October 2026 if completing your Level 1 or starting your Level 2. This will allow for us to get Brightspace access and time for you to complete information in time before the weekend!

Coaching U18s - Important information
If you are intending to work with under 18s we will not issue your certificate until you have either joined the PVG scheme through Scottish Fencing or if you are already a PVG member had a scheme update through Scottish Fencing. If you have a PVG membership or scheme update we will issue your certificate as soon as fees and paperwork are submitted.
Please note it is an offence for anyone to coach under18s without a PVG certificate gained through Scottish Fencing.
