This competition is all about having fun, trying something new, and celebrating the end of the school year with fellow fencers. It’s a great opportunity to step outside your usual weapon, challenge yourself, and go for the Three Weapon Trophies.
Whether you're new to fencing or have plenty of experience, this event is open to all levels – and we strongly encourage you to enter more than one event, even if it’s not your usual weapon. You might surprise yourself!

Age Categories - Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18
Under 14 (U14): Competitors born in 2012, 2013, or 2014 and currently attending secondary school.
Under 16 (U16): Competitors born in 2010 or 2011 and currently attending secondary school.
Over 16: Competitors born in 2007, 2008, or 2009 and attending secondary school on 1 January.
Competitors must have a full competitive membership of Scottish Fencing valid on the day of competition.
Competitors must attend or board at a Scottish secondary school, or be home schooled in Scotland. School leavers (16+) must have attended school on 1 January of the year of the event.
Check-in
Saturday 21st June and Sunday 21st June
The competition will run in a format to allow fencers to compete in all three weapons. We will confirm what events are running which day soon, check in times will follow after then.
Entries
Entry cost: £20.00 per weapon or £30 for two and £40 for all three .
Deadline: midnight 31 May. Late entry (up to 5 June): £45, subject to availability and at the discretion of the organiser.
No entries accepted after 9am on 5 June 2026
Refund Policy
You can cancel your entry and request a full refund up until 31st May 2026
After that date, no refunds will be given.
Trophies
Trophies will be awarded to the top girl and boy in each age category who compete in all three weapons. There will also be trophies for the top fencer in each individual weapon.
There is also a Best School trophy. Competitors will provide their school name at check-in. If your school has a club, enter using your club's name.
These trophies are part of Scottish fencing history and must be returned before the next event. Parents/guardians must sign a disclaimer and pay a deposit if taking a trophy home.

Mixed Poules
Mixed poules (age/gender) may be used if numbers are low. Fencers can use familiar weapon sizes. For mixed poules with U14s, lame bibs can be taped. All DE matches must follow age-specific equipment rules.
All fencers must wear 800N underplastrons.
PVG & Parental Supervision Requirements
All competitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian/responsible adult. Children must not be left unattended. Unaccompanied children will not be allowed to compete.
Social Media
If you do not want your child's photo used, contact admin@scottish-fencing.com and notify organisers at check-in. When posting on social media, only share photos of your child.

General Equipment
All fencers must wear fencing breeches
All women/girls must wear a chest protector
All equipment must be in good condition and must not disadvantage opponents

Fencers should bring two bodywires, two weapons, and two mask wires
