This fun team event will give you the chance to dust off your kit and ease yourself in to the coming season. Entries are now open on sport80

There are three events: Mixed Team Foil, Mixed Team Sabre, and Mixed Team Epee. Each team can consist of three or four fencers (four if you want to have a reserve). For each event there will be one round of poules, with each poule consisting of at most four teams. Teams will then fence direct elimination matches. Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each category.

The organisers also have medals for best cadet team and best veteran team in each weapon! To qualify as a cadet or veteran team, all members of the team must be cadets or veterans.

No team? No problem!

Eager to compete and don't have a team? Or you only have two people and need a third or fourth? Don't worry! Simply send an email to the organisers (mark.alvarez2@gmail.com) and they'll get you into a team as best they can.

Buying kit

There are two options for buying kit at the competition: Leon Paul Scotland are selling new kit, and there is also a second-hand kit stand. Anyone can buy or sell kit at the second-hand stand - there is no need to contact the organisers. Simply come to the event with your (washed) kit, and write a note with how much the item costs and how buyers can contact/pay you. The organisers will not facilitate payments - buyers and sellers will do this directly between themselves.
