  • At the 2018 Scottish Open on Sunday 21 October, Chris Lennon will run a brief referee seminar. This is for all those refereeing at the Open but anyone interested in becoming a foil referee is also very welcome to attend. If you are interested in hearing more about foil refereeing then report to DT on the Sunday morning. The seminar will run after the foil poules and before the DE starts.

  • Elgin High School was the venue for the UK’s most northerly open fencing tournament last weekend (29 & 30 September) when over 80 competitors from places as far afield as Portland, Oregon, New York, Orkney and Cardiff competed for the Highland Open Men’s, Women’s Foil, Epee and Sabre titles.

    It was the sixth time that the competition has been held in Elgin and the first time at the new Elgin High School.

  • Scottish Veteran Fencers will be representing their country in Canberra, Australia in November this year. The Veteran Commonwealths will be running alongside the Senior Commonwealth events over the 6 days of competition from 23rd to 28th November 2018.

  • Scottish Fencing are running a Positive Behaviour Management in Sport workshop on the 18 September. This is an excellent workshop aimed at all volunteers working with children in clubs.
