Referees

Scottish Fencing is always keen to develop more qualified referees (aka presidents) to officiate at its competitions, and will try to help anyone wishing to learn.

Refereeing is a very challenging and rewarding activity in its own right requiring concentration, discipline, and a cool head under pressure. And for those that gain qualifications it can open up many opportunities, all the way up to officiating at World or European championships!

And, by the way, you don't need to have been a fencer to learn to referee, so it's also a great way to get involved if your child has developed a fencing bug!

Please contact Stan Stoodley if you are interested in improving your refereeing or learning to preside - stan@scottish-fencing.com.
