National Academy (Scotland)

The National Academy is British Fencing's programme for developing fencing talent and supporting infrastructure in the UK. It is based on the latest knowledge about how to develop athletes from a young age - a long-term athlete development (LTAD) programme, specifically tailored to fencing.

Scottish Fencers of the right age will be eligible to participate in the National Academy, and there will be regional training events held in Scotland. These events will also create opportunities for Scottish coaches to participate in, and learn from, the programme.

More details will be posted here in due course. In the meantime, you can read more about the National Academy on the British Fencing website.
