Full membership Benefits
- Personal accident cover (cover ceases at age 75) and civil liability insurance cover
- Subscription to British Fencing's magazine The Sword
- Notices of General Meetings (and the right to vote at General Meetings if over 18)
- Access to appropriate courses
- £5.00 discount voucher for entry to a competition run by Scottish Fencing (first time members only)
- Entitlement to enter competitions (see below)
- Participation in Scottish teams and squads (if selected)
Competitions: Access to all competitions (subject to entry qualifications, such as age, academic status).
Under 20 membership Benefits
- Personal accident cover and civil liability insurance cover
- Subscription to British Fencing's magazine The Sword

- £5.00 discount voucher for entry to a competition run by Scottish Fencing (first time members only)

Competitions: Access to such competitions as are open to the member's age group: (e.g. Under 13, Under 12, Under 10).
Social membership Benefits (available only through affiliated clubs if member is to take benefit from limited insurance cover)
- Personal accident cover (cover ceases at age 75) and civil liability insurance cover valid for fencing at a single venue of the club where the membership was taken and for one prescribed competition (see below)
- Social members who are over 18 are voting members of Scottish Fencing Ltd but do not have BFA voting rights
- Subscription to British Fencing's magazine The Sword
Competitions: One of: Scottish U12, U13, U17, U20, beginners/intermediates, senior Championships. – this list may be varied from time to time and any revisions will be posted on the website
All members of SF Ltd are also members of BFA Ltd and, as such, are guarantors of both companies (unless U18 in which case their parent/guardian is guarantor) with a maximum liability of £1 to each company.
