Scottish Fencing’s board of directors convened for a board meeting at 6 pm on Wednesday evening 6 November in Caledonia House, Mike O’Donnell in the chair.

The organisation of the tournament by Scottish Fencing, at Edinburgh University’s Centre for Sport and Exercise and the Playfair Library Hall had been highly rated by the visiting teams. Particular praise was given to the decision to use a panel of highly skilled and experienced referees, as opposed to requiring each home nation to meet a referee quota.
